At Christian Watson, we believe that the success of a design is intrinsically linked to the client’s experience and enjoyment of our furniture. For that reason, we offer a range of services that aim to ensure our furniture is fit for a lifetime of use.
Tailored Furniture
The furniture in our signature collection is handmade to order, which means we can also offer our clients a range of tailored options, including a wide choice of materials, colours, sizes and configurations, whilst retaining the essence of the original design.
Bespoke Furniture
In addition to our signature collection and tailored options, we offer a bespoke service. This is an incredibly exciting journey that puts the client’s idea at the centre of the creative process. We aim to deliver a seamless service that results in a timeless piece of furniture made to the client’s exact specification.
Alteration
At Christian Watson, our pieces are built for a lifetime of use, but we understand that homes and tastes evolve, which is why we offer all existing customers an alteration service. For an additional fee, products can be sent back to us for alteration. This includes colour and material changes.
Repair and replace
We provide all our customers with care instructions for their furniture. Should your piece become damaged, we offer an excellent repair service for an additional fee. If you are a London-based customer, we aim to repair your item on site. However, if we are unable to fix the damage ourselves, or you are based outside of London, we can arrange for a restorer to examine the damage and/or arrange for the item to be returned to the studio for repair.
Materials library
We keep a constantly evolving array of material samples at the studio. Clients are welcome to explore this by appointment. If you have an account with us, you will have access to an online materials library, including high-quality images available to download.
Sampling for bespoke projects
We offer all bespoke clients digital and physical mood boards, renders and 3D-printed models on request. (Certain materials and prints will incur an additional fee.) These sampling materials will give each client confidence in their decision making as well as providing a memento of their bespoke journey.
Design consultation
At Christian Watson, we are always available to answer any questions you have on our range of offerings. We are also available to offer advice on the design process. Call us to discuss your project requirements or arrange a visit to the studio. This service is free for the first 40-minutes, and chargeable thereafter. We are also able for home visits for secondary meetings if you decide to embark upon a bespoke commission.
Rental
At Christian Watson we offer you the opportunity to live with a piece of furniture for a short time before buying. For a fee, you can rent a piece of furniture and experience it in situ before you buy.
Budget proficiency
At Christian Watson our budgets for bespoke commissions are planned and maintained without fail. We are committed to delivering the best possible results for each client, regardless of budget. Our pricing is fair and consistent, and we offer trade discounts.
Project management
We know how difficult bringing any project together can be, so we make it our priority to deliver on time, on budget and to the highest possible standard. If we are working on a bespoke project together, we will regularly update you with images and detailed explanations on the status of your piece. These images can then be turned into a coffee table book for yourself or your client, detailing the bespoke journey.
Trade production
We design and produce third-party products for companies inexperienced in or unable to create high-quality items. We work closely with their respective teams to ensure they get the product they are looking for, by carefully taking the project from conception to design, prototyping, production to handling and managing budgets and quality assurance.
White glove service
For certain large orders that qualify, we will deliver all of your pieces to London free of charge. For an additional fee, we can travel the UK to deliver your piece to your door, with installation services also available. International deliveries can be arranged for any client on request.
Installation and hanging
All our products come with care and installation instructions. Our mirror and shelving units come with a step-by-step guide to assembling and hanging, including a template that shows you exactly where to drill holes. If you would prefer, we can help install your piece by liaising with a trusted contractor. Additional fees apply.
