Christian Watson’s signature collection is a celebration of beauty through simplicity. Using a pared-back palette of materials, each piece embodies the studio’s fresh, innovative approach to contemporary furniture making.
The collection showcases the studio’s commitment to rigorous, understated design and is united by a deep-rooted appreciation for traditional forms and furniture-making techniques. The Severus, for example, is a modern-day interpretation of the elegant chaise longue, whilst with the Timperly is a contemporary reassessment of the historic café chair.
By restricting each piece in the collection to just two materials maximum, the quality and the handling of the raw material becomes paramount to the success of each design. For this reason, the studio sources only the highest-quality material from the best possible suppliers across the UK, relying on a team of local, trusted and highly-skilled manufacturers to hand-craft each piece.
